She served as Deputy Director for Demand Reduction in the Office of National Drug Control Policy from 2002 to 2004. Dr. Barthwell is a recipient of the prestigious Betty Ford Award for contributions to the field of addiction medicine and has been named by her peers as one of the "Best Doctors in America" in addiction medicine. |

 | Donna Hugh, MA, Counselor, has over 10 years of clinical experience, during which she has refined her skills in crisis assessment and intervention, short and long-term psychotherapy, treatment planning, and expressive therapies. |
 | Seth Josln, Licensed Massage Therapist and Residential Manager, has 6 years of experience as a Massage Therapist and Bodyworker and specializes in Biodynamic Cranial Sacral and Reflexology. He graduated from the University of Maine at Farmington and Majored in Psychology and Nutrition, then studied massage therapy at the world renowned Cayce Reilly School of Massotherapy. Seth is passionate about holistic health and healing and shares that excitement and enthusiasm with all that he meets. |
 | Sidney Miltz, MEd, LPC, CSAT, Clinical Director, has over 14 years of experience in psychological and managerial fields. Mr. Miltz directs all clinical programming and overseas daily operations at Two Dreams. He previously served as the director of a private treatment facility in Florida. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor and holds a Master of Education degree in counselor education. He holds numerous therapy-related qualifications including Certified Trauma Specialist and Acupuncture Detox. Specialist. He also has a long history of volunteering his time to assist in community programs for individuals with addictive disorders mental illness, and other challenges. |
 | Alison Pillow, Recreation Coordinator, has a background in commercial and community recreation and is a lifelong advocate of healthy, active living. Mrs. Pillow holds a bachelor’s degree in recreation, parks, and tourism and a master’s degree in health and human performance. |
 | Linda Taylor, RN, CMSRN, as 28 years of nursing experience. Her background includes Medical-Surgical Nursing Education, Nursing Supervision and Critical Care Nursing. She is certified in Medical Surgical Nursing and Health-Care Management and Administration. At Two Dreams, Linda helps clients with their medical needs and educates staff about the clients medial needs that may help facilitate a healthy recovery. |
| Elizabeth Holt, MS, ATR-BC, LPC, Senior Clinical Consultant has over 25 years of experience in the field of addiction. Ms. Holt works with addicted professionals and individuals who have co-occurring disorders. She also has extensive training in trauma-based disorders. | |
| Richard Martin, MTS, EdD, Clinical Consultant, is a North Carolina Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist and Certified Clinical Supervisor. In addition to providing clinical supervision, Dr. Martin is the principal of the Dare County Alternative School. He has been working in the substance abuse treatment field since 1979. | |
| John Sanchez, DO, Medical Director, serves as the medical director at Outer Banks Urgent Care where he practices family medicine, urgent care, and weight loss treatment. Dr. Sanchez is board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Practice. He is also a certified Medical Review Officer for several businesses and was recognized by the Community Practitioner Program for his volunteer activities and for successful development of a unique practice recognized by the North Carolina Medical Society. | |
